@Nick are you retarded the referres dont get nothing free no free trips they come on their own expense to return to judo so please dont say wrong statments
Je trouve que le japonais a un meilleur judo, il utilise sa force au bon moment dans les 3 balayages qu’il sort.
Rinner se retrouve avec les pieds plus hauts que la tète à ce moment là, … faut pas l’oublier .
It’s not who’s the more “energetic,” but who comes the closest to scoring more often.
Watch the golden score again and count how many that is. Kamikawa wins by one near-score. And that’s being generous to Riner’s sumi at the end.
Don’t be so hard on Riner for reacting like he did. It’s a final at the world championship. There’s sure to be a lot of emotion.
Also, Riner’s reaction after the fight was understandable, because he really deserved the gold medal and he was deprived from it. I believe that any human beeing would react in a similar manner under such circumstances.
i am a greek judoka and i believe T.Riner was the real winner. He is obviously misjudged in this final. The japanesse was a good and strong oppoment but only made 2 attempts to attack the french judoka. On the other hand, Riner was much more energetic and aggressive throughout the whole fight. I would give 3/3 to Riner.
don’t forget “REI” after the fight.
reiner is still a crying baby.
nice comment musa
keep cool folks and please, don’t use words like stupid or jap or idiots, and don’t pretend people of other opinion have to learn judo.Respect ,respect, brothers!
Learn Judo and then post. It is obvious that some people here never done or fought at a credible level. Judo is tactics sport as well other things. I live in Japan and I can tell you for a fact that many other world class level athletes from here saw that Kamikawa lost. Let see if he gets the respect of his peers over here! Japanese love things done right and they know they weren’t on this case. Remember Doulliet and Shinohara? Everyone saw the mistake made against the Japanese and regardless of the decision we knew who deserved the medal. I wonder how many people posting here have ever fought at the same level Riner fights. I wonder what would be the reaction of someone who has trained his heart out for the worlds and have his/her fight taken away by idiots who only were trying to please the crowd and not ethics or the right thing.
i agree with musa’s vision.I think riner will be THE great champion when he will really try to build an ” ippon judo” and abandon “shido fight”.He is able to do it, look his nice ippon against the corean, against Takahashi
I would not comment here because I thought it was clear to me the one who won this fight. But then some people and Riner himself think otherwise.
There was only one person doing Judo in this fight, the other was trying to out-muscle him and abuse the current Judo system to try to win by imposing penalties.
The Japanese guy had really many opportunities to get a real throw. He almost throw Riner by uchimata (2x), harai-tsuri-komi-ashi (1x) and sasae-tsuri-komi-ashi (2x). Riner was, most of the time trying to bring the Japanese guy head down, by forcing it bellow… I was really happy to see the judges not falling pray to this unjudo-like tactic, because I’m tired to see fights where one guy is actually trying to throw and the other is actually trying to out-muscle him only to have the one seeking Judo being penalized in the end by a false attack or passivity because judges simply can’t identify Judo anymore.
Riner tried the same thing from beginning to end: get the over the back grip and try some form of o-soto-gari/harai-makikomi-hybrid… It it was randori I would yell to him to stop doing that and start doing Judo, but at a competitive scenario, if that was working, I would have no problem accepting it as a valid tactic to win, but that was not actually working, and, IMHO, it was being used defensively to avoid letting the Japanese secure the opportunity for a harder throw attempt.
Nonetheless, I was impressed with this Japenese guy I didn’t know to have been able to make Riner move, despite the overwhelming gripping tactics he was being subject too.
I think some people here would like to see the Japanese guy being penalized when Riner simply over-gripped him and left him without many options… If shido was applied as quick as it is sometimes, the real winner of this match would have been denied its legitimate victory.
The Japanese was certainly not avoiding doing Judo. He was trying to make Riner move with finesse, with many small ashi-waza attempts, while Riner was trying to simply stop him still by sheer strength. I can’t see why anyone would favor Riner over the Japanese in this fight, but everyone is entitled its own opinion…
From Italy. I just saw this video. During the first 2 minutes the referee had to announce the first SHIDO to Kamikawa; that is, in my opinion, the key of the match. In that case the match would have been different. Considering just the golden score the final decision is correct. A final consideration: Riner cannot have such reaction to the referee decision: that is a World Championship not a village tourneament.
good ~! Osoto-gari kamikawa but really victory Riner
count the big attacks 11 to riner 5 to the jap plus only one shido no score! ,easily riners match if you follow contest rules, the crap refs forget this, they are just there for the free trip and food, doesn’t mater what the judoka have put themselves through training and other tournaments for months to get a bad decision ,they should be accountable for wrong decisions like this, stupid Tim with his comments, the medals riner has won and training for something like this, something which you probably never have, and will never do ,and he’s not a judoka yet, what an ignorant ass
I´m not sure that Riner is a good sportsman.Look what he did agaisnt Tmenow in the 2007 WC final. At 7:33 http://www.judovision.org/?p=644
Riner had a more agressive posture during the fight. However, in the golden score Kamikawa was better, he striked like 4 times and almost threw Riner in all of them. It was a close fight, but I would give the victory to Kamikawa
I’m french and i think that Riner should have won the decision if you consider the whole fight. But considering his behaviour at the end, i’m actually happy that he didn’t. Show respect young man!
ohhh laaa laaaaaaa this is merdeee very shame and shiit refers, he was loser the japan judoka not tedy rinner but everything can happen in this World…
Riner had to be champion, not the Jap
why aren’t there more movies of the WC?
The frenchman was better in the first round but the japanese was much better in the golden score.
better this way, the french is not ready to be a champion, hes not even ready to be a judoka…
incontro assolutamente rubato a RINER !!!
FURTO CON SCASSO. primo attacco del giappo ( 3 in totale in 8 minuti effettiv)i a 2.18 del GS. Meritava schido 3, almeno!
I was there and I cannot believe what I saw. Kamikawa knew he lost and was very surprised when he saw the flags. When the Japanese cameras showed suzuki and Anai’s faces prior to the desicion they were shaking their heads as to say he lost. However, this was not the only desicion favoring a Japanese in the whole tournament.
this is a shame. One thousand shido for kaminawa!!! yes! realy unbelivable!!!!
3 to 2 kinza for Kamikawa
