Que roubo, assalto, absurdo, esses arbitros pareçem o da Bahia!
the fight between this two great judokas wasnot close, the german was about 80 percent defending attitude , and the american had the disvantage of loosing his balance during the golden match i believe this was the point in favor to Bischof, In an overall the american went to finish the fight in the other hand ole was just defending all the grips…. but i did love the fight and it was a big disappointment to see referees that know the judo world and know the big names…
@Archy90: Only a complete stranger to the discipline could take that commentary as a reference, every word they say is a insult to those who spend years learning the technique.
Bischof did not fight, he only waited: and it took experience, a golden score, and a zero-shido fight for him to win this. It’s another great mistake made at the Olympics by the referees, who weren’t even capable of punishing that attitude.
Watch the final match, where the German went on the mat with the same attitude, facing this time a more talented fighter than the american.
That’s what else was there to say.

ha ha ha, Davide is biased.
Bischof attacks at 7:01 with a strong footsweep, 14:30 ko-uchi, 15:45 seoi, 16:26 seoi, Can’t see any action from Stevens.
Bischof won this match 3-0. Even the US commentator voted for Bischof – what elso to say?
Travis Stevens won this match.
In the semi-final, like in the final, the German is busy only breaking grips, another absurd match by the referees, who don’t even give one shido for non-combattivity (Bischof deserved at least two). Also the hunanimous decision is questionable, I really cannot make up my mind about where and when Bischof produced more attempts and occasion than the American.
Travis Stevens fought this match to his fullest, and deserved the Olympic Final.
Awesome Olympic semi-finals!
I had to watch 5:24 several times to realize what was going on the moments before the face off. Stevens was gripping Bischofs fingers and then by getting up from ground his right elbow is heading up to Bischofs face – accidently or not I cant judge. They handled it in impressive manner after face off was happening.
