What an “exciting” judo! Wow! May be we should invent a few more new rules to make it even better?

I agree with some of the new rules. People need to start doing Judo in the mat and not wrestling or other type of fight. We have an identity and we need to keep it. Judo is Judo!

JUDO IS ALSO EVOLUTION, JAPANISE AND FRENCH LEAD THE DIRECORY AND WANT TO WIN ANYWHERE!
    NEW RULES ARE AGAINST SAMBO!

That´s why i agree with SOME of the new rules. Judo cannot go towards other fighting styles, like Sambo and others for the obvious reasons. But i agree that some of the rules are exaggerating. Well, no one can please Greeks and Trojans, right? The time will tell if we are going in the right direction.

I fancy the new rules. It will just take some time, then we will see real Judo again.

…Let’s state the obvious first: this kid’s something special, prevent Riner from gripping is still an unsolved riddle..not even Inoue stayed away from that right hand, and Vujiters is in great pain after just 2 minutes of fight (his left arm gets lazy so soon…)…It’s poor kumikata by the white gi, it’s true, but still very very difficult…

And then again, no ippon, no good pulling by the french before the throwing attempts, that’s easy to counter, and the Dutch has good technique for +100…
I just see only one +100 truly capable of throwing Riner, Alexander MIKHAYLIN (and he has to be in great condition)…Gujejani may also, but lacks kumikata…Let’s see this year’s tournaments…new rules won’t affect heavywheights too much anyway, for obvious technical reasons…
