    It is very weird to see Elco Van der Geest fighting for Belgium, and not for the Nederland…after so many years, was BEL citizenship still so important?…I like that, but yet so weird…

    It was important for Elco to get BEL citizenship to be able to compete on the top level. After Grol qualified for the Olympics in front of him and won a bronze medal, this was his only choice to be able to compete at the top tournaments.
