Uchi mata and harai are basicaly the same throws just different angle. This is a briliant technique . Real classic uchimata. AWESOME

How does it seem to be rather harai goshi??? They are 2 different techniques. with almost the same footing. Harai goshi is outside the leg. Id understand it if you said it looks more like hane goshi. 4 types of uchimata, this was a true example of tradition uchimata. .

who cares! This vid is emphasizing the hands and upper body position, if you sweep inside or outside the leg it doesnt matter as long as the upper body and hands r in the right spot… but Inoue’s Harai is actually quite different to this, see 101 ippons ‘99 to ‘01 for a sweet inoue harai

Harai-goshi, sweeping leg goes outside. Uchi-matasweeping leg goes inside.

I think you meant hane-goshi. Yes, it looks a bit similar, except it works quite differently, with the “sweeping” leg pushing against uke’s leg, “flicking” outwards as opposed to the driving pivot of uchi-mata.

    Lovely tech, just loveley

Awesome control of the upper body, the arm movement is perfect, and at this point, it doesn’t really matter if it’s uchi-mata or not, you’re going down…lovely indeed !
