That last technique was so bad…
dschof win all his math tanks to his strong kumikata
what happend to tiago in this match? he is so good, and he was so bad in this one… i agree that the last technique was very bad!
bad techique? was wazari or not? this is competition, as long as the opponent falls, everything is good… this is not a kata contest…
Actually it wasn´t Camilo who was bad, but Bischof killed his grip quite well. You can clearly see that the german crossed his left hand on brazilian´s left lapel and also killed Tiago´s right sleeve with his right hand. Tiago couldn´t grip as he usually does and lost his cool, trying desperate movements (like the countered ouchi-gari). Ole was tatically perfect and that day, he was the best competitor.
By the way, he killed his left sleeve, not right…sorry.
Ole Bischof, the best in the world!!!!
the second ippon is the result of a bad movement from tiago
Ole was great in this olympics. The last throw was not a wazari, maximum a yuko, it was more like a roll in newaza situation. Tiago was first an all fours and then a moment later Ole rolled him.
The second waza-ari was not a throw at all in my opinion. But Bischof more than deserved the victory nevertheless. Besides his strong kumi-kata, which forced Camilo into desperate attacks, his first Ko-uchi-gari-attack could have been awarded with koka; his first ippon-seoi-nage-attack was clearly a koka (Camilo’s shoulder touched the mat) like the left referee proposed. Bischof was clearly the best fighter on that particular day.
in the last move, tiago rolls over his back completely, but the throw is interrupted, so you can’t give ippon. but you can’t give yuko, too, because of the full roll over his back.
so either it’s waza ari, or you consider it as a ne-waza movement and don’t give a score at all. everything else would be absolutely senseless.
and i would add to my comment that technically, it’s not a beautiful technique, but being thrown on such a technique shouldn’t happen to a world class fighter like tiago. but it is in fact a sumi gaeshi. so waza-ari is right in my opinion, and i would have give the score, too.
IN MY OPINION THE GERMAN TEAM STUDY ALL MOVES AND KUMITES FROM TIAGO E BRAZILIAN TEAM STUDY THE BEST PLACE TO MAKE INTERVIES TO TV IN BRAZIL.ONLY SHINOHARA HEAD COACH WORK IN BRAZILIAN TEAM
Oleg told that he and his coach studied Camilo for months. The best fight of Oleg was against Camilo, and, in theory, the hardest.
Ole is physically so strong, probably the strongest judoka in his weight category.
Tiago Camilo is a much more skilled judoka than Bischof. However, Bischof studied Camilo for months and was perfect that day. He is stronger than Camilo and Camilo couldn`t use his kumikata; cause Bischof wisely imposed his kumikata; in order to apply his techniques like: uchimata, seoinague, cataotoshi etc. The second score of Bischof wasn`t beautiful, he tried a sumigaeshi, but wisely changed its direction after failing throw Camilo.
He deserves the victory.
camilo is better than olef, but olef is the winner, judo things….
2 wazari, the last one was ouchi-gari. Nice fight.
